These eggs can hatch Chocolate, Mauve and Chocolate Splash Ameraucana, some newest colors of Ameraucana to date. These are not Easter Egger or hatchery 'Americana', these are 100% purebred and can be very hard to find! Our flock is made up of Mauve roosters housed with Chocolate and Mauve hens. In large hatches this combination typically produces roughly 40% Chocolate, 40% Mauve and 20% Chocolate Splash, but actual results can vary greatly depending on the size of the hatch and which hens are currently laying. Several of the hens also carry the mottling gene and may produce mottled splits. Chicks can vary in shade from dark Chocolate to nearly White at hatch, and may be difficult to distinguish between until they are fully feathered. Please note that these colors are still considered a project color of Ameraucana, so there may be some slight variation in egg color and size.
